Instruction Number 03/2014 for Financial Services Businesses and Prescribed Businesses
1st August 2014The Commission is today issuing Instruction 03/2014 for both financial services businesses and prescribed businesses.
The instruction has been issued as a result of amendments made to the sanctions measures against Afghanistan and Al-Qaida to impose a reporting requirement on businesses.
The existing Handbooks are in the course of being reviewed and therefore to minimise the impact, and to avoid reprinting the full Handbook while the development continues, replacement pages of the Handbook for Financial Services Businesses on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing, Chapter 14 UN, EU and Other Sanctions and the Handbook for Legal Professionals, Accountants and Estate Agents on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing, Chapter 12 UN, EU and Other Sanctions have been compiled as replacement pages, together with a record of the changes applied.
The instructions and associated replacement chapters are being introduced with immediate effect.
