Claridges Trustees Limited and former joint fiduciary licence applicants

14th January 2008

Claridges Trustees Limited, Claridges Trust Company (Guernsey) Limited, First Nominees Limited and Second Nominees Limited were authorised to conduct fiduciary activities under the transitional provisions of the Regulation of Fiduciaries, Administration Businesses and Company Directors, etc. (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2000 by virtue of a joint licence application made in 2001.  This application was refused on 14 December 2007 and as a result the authorisation ended on 11 January 2008.

From 12 January 2008, Claridges Trustees Limited and its three joint applicants named above have no authorisation to conduct regulated fiduciary activities.  The four companies are incorporated in Guernsey and therefore require a licence from the Commission to conduct such activities not only in or from within the Bailiwick of Guernsey, but from any location.
