What is the Innovation Sandbox?
Under the initiative, we aim to:
- To support responsible innovation in finance e.g. blockchain, tokenisation, AI-driven services;
- To allow firms to launch products or services in a controlled regulatory environment; and
- To gather insights to inform future developments in regulation in areas such as digital assets.
The Innovation Sandbox offers a structured framework that allows innovative firms to operate under tailored licence conditions or with specific permissions. This can enable real-world incubation of digital financial products while maintaining regulatory oversight and public protection.
