Staff Appointments

20th September 2021

Our Director of the Authorisations and Innovation Division, Emma Bailey, after nearly 20 years of dedicated service, has decided it is the right time to leave the Commission this autumn to take up a role in industry.

Whilst Emma will be missed, the Commission is pleased to announce that Caroline Bradley, current Deputy Director in the Authorisations and Innovation Division, and Alison Gavey, current Deputy Director in the Investment, Fiduciary and Pension Division, have agreed to become co-Directors of the Authorisations and Innovation Division (AID).  Both will be working part time hours.

Caroline has previously served as Deputy Director in the Banking and Insurance Division as well as AID.  She brings a wealth of knowledge from her years as a senior insurance regulator as well as a practitioner. Alison returns to the Authorisations and Innovations Division following a period of three years as Deputy Director in the Investment, Fiduciary and Pension Division. Alison’s comprehensive fund administration experience as well as her previous authorisations role mean that the Bailiwick will continue to benefit from AID's senior leaders having deep expertise in both insurance and investment matters.

Speaking about the changes, the Director General, William Mason, commented: “I'd like to thank Emma for her dedication over twenty years to both the Bailiwick's wellbeing and to the wellbeing of all those who worked with her.  She leaves with my best wishes for her new private sector role. I was delighted that Caroline and Alison agreed to become co-Directors and trust that the Bailiwick will benefit from the great expertise they bring to the critical AID role.”

The Commission is advertising for Deputy Directors to replace Caroline and Alison. Internal and external applicants will be considered.
