Sanctions Notice - UK Sanctions List
16th October 2025Please be advised that, as of the 28th of January 2026, OFSI’s Consolidated List of Asset Freeze Targets will no longer be updated. From this point onwards, the only reliable source for UK sanctions designations will be the UK Sanctions List (UKSL), published by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. This means that compliance systems that source data from the OFSI Consolidated List or rely on the ‘OFSI Group ID’ identifier will need to be updated to ensure that they are instead using data from the UKSL and the ‘Unique ID’ as an identifier for new DPs as opposed to the ‘OFSI Group ID’. Businesses should not wait to begin this process and can make adaptations immediately. Businesses who use a specialist screener or other third-party providers should speak to their supplier to understand the impact, if any, on data they receive.
A UK Sanctions List search tool is available on GOV.UK with filters that allow users to search for DPs specifically subject to an asset freeze. We understand that there will be functional upgrades to this search tool to make it easier to use and to display search results in a better, more useful way, including the introduction of fuzzy logic searching.
Sanctions notices will continue to be circulated in the same way, however the link provided within the notice will, from today, be changed from the consolidated list to the UKSL.
