Sanctions Notice - ISIL (Da’esh) and Al-Qaida
22nd May 2026Please be advised that the Security Council Committee pursuant to resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) concerning ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida has removed the following individuals from its sanctions list:
- Majeed Abdul CHAUDHRY QDi.054
- Mohammed TUFAIL QDi.056
- Mustafa Hajji Muhammad KHAN QDi.306
- Hafiz Abdul Salam BHUTTAVI QDi.307
- Aamir Ali CHAUDHRY QDi.312
- Maulana FAZLULLAH QDi.352
- Abdul Rehman MAKKI QDi.433
Therefore, the assets freeze, travel ban and arms embargo set out in paragraph 1 of Security Council resolution 2734 (2024) and adopted under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations, no longer apply to the names above.
The United Nations Security Council Consolidated List has been updated and is accessible here.
Changes to the UN Consolidated List are automatically effective in the UK under the Iraq (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 (“the UK Regulations”).
The UK regulations are given effect within the Bailiwick under the Sanctions (Implementation of UK Regimes) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Brexit) Regulations, 2020 that have been made under the Sanctions (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2018 (the Sanctions Law).
