The Commission is recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join our Banking and Insurance Division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial services professional to take on a key supervisory role, leading regulatory work across banking and insurance sectors and contributing directly to the Commission’s mandate to safeguard and enhance the Bailiwick’s international reputation.

Senior Analysts play a central role in the prudential and conduct supervision of licensees, applying sound judgement to assess regulatory risk and ensure firms meet required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for the day-to-day supervision of a portfolio of banking and/or insurance firms, including maintaining PRISM assessments.
  • Leading and deliver on-site visits, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and identification of key risks and issues.
  • Analysing financial data, regulatory returns and broader sector trends, drawing out insights and presenting findings clearly.
  • Assessing complex or higher-risk cases and contribute to regulatory decisions, including potential enforcement actions where required.
  • Preparing and present reports and recommendations to internal governance forums, including Risk Governance Panels.
  • Representing the Commission in engagements with licensees, industry stakeholders and other regulators.
  • Supporting and develop junior colleagues, providing guidance, feedback and on-the-job coaching.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in the banking, insurance or wider financial services sectors.
  • Experience in audit, risk, actuarial or regulatory environments.
  • Strong judgement and the ability to assess risk and challenge effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to lead workstreams and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience of engaging with senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to developing others.

A relevant professional qualification (or working towards one) would be advantageous, and we will support ongoing professional development.

Why join the Commission?

The Banking and Insurance Division offers a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment, with exposure to a broad range of financial services activities and regulatory challenges.

This is a unique opportunity to:

  • Take on a high-impact role with meaningful responsibility.
  • Develop deep expertise in financial services regulation.
  • Play a key part in maintaining the Bailiwick’s reputation as a leading financial centre.
  • Contribute to the development of others and the wider success of the Commission.
  • Benefit from structured training, professional qualifications, and early responsibility.
  • Work in a supportive environment that values knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and cross-sector exposure.
