Director of Technology

Conor joined the Commission in May 2016 as a Risk Analyst and was promoted to Assistant Director in the Risk Unit in December of the same year. In February 2019, he took up the role of Deputy Director in the Risk and Operations Division and was given additional responsibilities as Head of Projects and Innovation in September 2022, and Head of the Technology Innovation Unit in March 2025.  As Director of Technology, he leads the technology and project related functions of the Commission and directs work relating to the internal optimisation of newer technologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Before joining the Commission, Conor worked at an international level as an academic and consultant sports scientist. Conor graduated from Nottingham Trent University, with a degree in Sport Administration and Science, holds an MSc from Loughborough University and a PhD from Manchester Metropolitan University.
