Sanctions Notice - Russian Federation

Council Regulation (EU) 833/2014, as implemented by the Russian Federation (Restrictive Measures) (Guernsey) Ordinance 2014, the Russian Federation (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney) Ordinance 2014 and the Russian Federation (Restrictive Measures) (Sark) Ordinance 2014, has been amended by Council Regulation (EU) No 2017/ 2212.

The effect of the amendments, which are automatically effective in the Bailiwick, is to introduce new derogations in respect of certain operations necessary for flights in the framework of the ExoMars 2020 mission, and in respect of related technical assistance, financing or financial assistance.

MEASURES WHICH SHOULD BE TAKEN

All businesses must familiarise themselves with the legislation and check whether they have any kind of relationship that may relate to prohibited activity. Businesses must report any findings to the Policy and Resources Committee immediately.

The information referred to above is required by the Policy and Resources Committee in the exercise of its powers under the Schedule to the Ordinances referred to above.
