31st January 2007
A minor amendment has been made by the Policy Council to the Criminal Justice (Proceeds of Crime) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Regulations, 2002 (“the 2002 Regulations”).

The amendment Regulations - the Criminal Justice (Proceeds of Crime) (Bailiwick of Guernsey) (Amendment) Regulations, 2006 – were laid before the States of Guernsey on 31 January 2007 and came into force on 1 February. Regulation 5 of the 2002 Regulations has been changed so that customer verification documents received in paper form can be maintained in any form provided that they are readily retrievable.

The Commission has updated its website version of the 2002 Regulations and made a consequential change to paragraph 122 of the Guidance Notes on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism. The updated version of these is available using this link.
