Guernsey Plays Host to IAIS Insurance Fraud and Solvency Subcommittee Meetings
The Guernsey Financial Services Commission played host to meetings last week of two committees of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors. Both meetings were held at St James. The Insurance Fraud Subcommittee was hosted by Diane Colton, the Director of Insurance at the GFSC who is the chair of the subcommittee and the Solvency and Actuarial Issues Subcommittee was hosted by Mike Poulding who is the Insurance Division Actuary and has been a member of the subcommittee for several years.
Commenting on the meetings Mike Poulding said:
"It was good having been able to arrange these meetings in Guernsey. A total of 40 members attended from as far afield as Australia, Brazil and Japan and the meetings were very productive. The delegates particularly enjoyed the evening excursion to Herm and the fact that the end of the meetings coincided with the Battle of Britain air display. I am sure that they were left with a favourable impression of our Island."
