The Commission is looking to recruit a lawyer to join the General Counsel Division. The successful candidate will be a qualified Guernsey Advocate with litigation experience.

The role includes: 

  • The provision of general legal advice to Divisions within the Commission, including drafting and reviewing letters, reports, documents and other agreements.
  • The provision of general legal advice for the conduct of enforcement cases, including all necessary correspondence, the review of enforcement reports and supporting evidence with the Director and all steps under the Commission’s procedures, especially disclosure.
  • Taking  cases before the Commission’s Senior Decision Makers (UK Queen’s Counsel) and the Royal Court.
  • Assisting in the introduction, or amendment, of legislation, rules, policy and procedures.
