The Guernsey Financial Services Commission fulfils a pivotal role in safeguarding Guernsey’s international reputation as a leading finance centre. We are recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer to be responsible for the effective and efficient operational discharge of the functions of the Commission. The Chief Operating Officer will report to the Director General.
ROLE
The principal duties for the Chief Operating Officer will be:
- Set, assign and supervise non-regulatory operational goals for Divisions collectively and separately.
- Develop and maintain management information systems and controls.
- Propose internal operational non regulatory processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and oversee communications strategy and delivery for all internal communications.
- Lead the Commission’s change management initiatives.
- Develop, implement and monitor the Commission’s performance standards in discharge of its functions.
The remuneration for this position is competitive. Membership of a contributory pension scheme and a non contributory private health scheme is included.
