The appointment of Carl Rosumek as Director of Investment Business has been announced by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.
Mr Rosumek, who is currently Deputy Director of the Division, will succeed Peter Moffatt who retires from the post at the end of January.
Nik van Leuven, Director General of the Commission, said: “I am certain that Carl’s colleagues will be delighted to learn of his appointment, as will be all those in the investment business sector.”
Peter Moffatt said: “Carl will bring to the role of Director all the knowledge and experience which made his support to me so invaluable during my time as Director. I wish him every success in the future.”
Mr Rosumek said that he was pleased and flattered to have been chosen to succeed Peter Moffatt, with whom he worked closely for ten years.
“I know that the job is demanding and challenging but I am fortunate that I have a very strong team in the Investment Business Division and I will work with them, together with the Bailiwick’s investment business sector, to maintain its effective regulation”, he said.
